A car crash happened on Sunday, February eighth, 2009. The accident took place in Clinton, New York.

A woman, Veronica Leclair, 38, was driving her car on Route 11, about 150 miles to the north of Albany. Lecliar’s 2007 Ford Mustang was also traveling with passengers. As she was driving at about three p.m., Leclair drove off of the road near a curve and hit a pile of snow. The car tumbled numerous times before it came to rest. Unfortunately, Leclair was killed during the accident along with her adolescent son and stepson. Two other teenagers were hurt from the crash. Her son was identified as Stephen Leclair and her stepson was Travis Leclair. Both boys were at the age of 15. The Leclair family resided in Ellenberg Center. Kyle Bushey, 17, of Altona, was supposed to have surgery for a head injury while Joshua Bombardier, 18, also from Altona, was receiving care for back damage.

A crash took place on May eleventh, 2009. The accident happened in Levittown, New York.

On Monday at around eight-thirty p.m., a man, 54, was driving his vehicle in Levittown. He was making a U-turn from the western side on Seamans NeckRoad onto Kingsbury Road, trying to go northbound. Then, his Nissan vehicle hit a motorcycle. Leon Sonnenschien, 46, was driving the southbound 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The driver of the automobile was immediately taken to a nearby hospital after the crash. There he was treated and was listed as in critical but stable conditions. Unfortunately, Sonnenschien died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the car underwent a breath test which came out to be negative. Both vehicles were checked for safety.

A car accident occurred on Thursday March 12, 2009. The crash took place in Amherst, New York.

On the night of the accident, thirty year-old, Andrea Glinski, of Tonawanda, hit two women while driving her truck. While driving in Buffalo, Glinski crashed into two college students crossing the street. The two women were Amy Stewart, 22, of Grand Island and Rachel Baird, 21, of East Syracuse. She then fled the scene driving her SUV.

Following a tip from an anonymous source, police found an SUV that matched the description of Glinski’s truck at a nearby auto shop. Glinski was arrested by Amherst Police and arraignments were set up for later in the week. Whether she had a lawyer or not is unknown.

Stewart, a student at the University of Buffalo, suffered a severe coma from the crash. She is receiving treatment for her grave injuries at a hospital in Buffalo. Baird, a senior student at a college in Deamen, was left in a more stable condition.

A multi-car accident happened in Commack, New York on March eighteenth, 2009.

At almost nine thirty a.m., Anthony CiFuentes, 20, was driving along Commack Road going south. While a garbage truck was haulted at a red light in the opposite lane at New Highway, CiFuentes car veered into it. After hitting the garbage truck, CiFuentes hit two other vehicles. He was driving a 1998 Nissan Altima.

The area of the accident was tapped off with yellow tape after the incident. One of the cars was completely damaged from the crash as the front of the car was smashed and the glass was shattered.

Immediately after the accident, CiFuentes was was transported by airlift to Stony Brook University Medical Center. There he was pronounced as dead at about eleven a.m. Four members traveling in the garbage truck remained uninjured as well as the passengers in the two other automobiles. CiFuentes’ car has been taken in for a safety check and the accident is still being explored for further details.

A car accident took place on March twenty-sixth, 2009. The incident happened in Smithtown, New York.

On Thursday around three thirty in the morning, a forty-three-year-old woman was driving her car southbound along Route 25A. She, Karen Naclerio-Negrin, of Smithtown, was struck by a pickup truck close to Summerset Drive. Naclerio-Negrin was driving a 1992 Volvo. John Harnage, 43, was driving the other vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet.

Harnage, of Oakside Road in Smithtown, is a Caucasian male with light toned skin. He has brown hair and brown eyes as well as a small amount of facial hair. In his most recent photo taken on April second, Harnage was wearing a white v-neck t-shirt.

Unfortunately, Naclerio-Negrin was killed at the scene of the crash. Harnage, on the other hand, received no injuries. He was faced with charges of driving while intoxicated and will be aarraigned on Thusday. His arraignment will be held in Central Islip at First District Court.

After the crash, the street was secured for about six hours. The road was closed between Summerset Drive and Route 25. Police examined the scene but the investigation is still being continued. The streets were re-opened at a quarter past nine a.m.

At about eleven p.m. on Thursday night, Kevin Hernandez-Pinto, 17I, of Cental Islip, was driving south when he crashed into a taxicab traveling west. He was driving a 1994 Toyota Camry and the taxi was a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria. After hitting the cab driven by Christopher Jackson, 33, of Central Islip, another car, a 2007 Mazda, hit Hernandez-Pinto’s vehicle. After the crash occurred, Hernandez-Pinto was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore by ambulance along with the three other passengers in his vehicle. The 3 passengers all had non-life-threatening wounds but Hernandez-Pinto passed away. Two of the passengers in the car attend Central Islip High School. One student is a freshman and the other a sophomore at the alternative school at Reed Middle School. Hernandez-Pinto was an eleventh grader at the alternative school. Hernandez-Pinto’s family is very upset by their loss and a crisis team will be going to the school to discuss the situation with the students.

Jackson and a passenger in the taxicab were also taken to the Southside Hospital. They received back and neck damages but were treated for their injuries. Ledwidge was escorted to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for non-life-threatening injuries.

All three automobiles underwent safety checks and the investigation is still in the process.

A car accident took place in February, 2009. The accident was located in Melville, New York.

At around four in the morning on the Saturday of the crash, Melissa Scherr, 25, of Valley Stream, was on the road returning from her boyfriend’s house. On her way home from the house in King’s Park, Scherr was driving at a steady spead, receiving directions over the phone from her boyfriend because a road closure got her driving the wrong way. Douglas Davis, 44, of Centerport, was allegedly driving while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs and smashed his pickup truck into Scherr’s sports car on Route 110, close to Schwab Road. After the hard crash, Scherr’s Nissan 200SX was sent flying into a utility pole. Davis then fled the scene.

After fleeing, Davis was found in Greenlawn. He appears to be working as a vice president of Davis Aircraft Products, which had sales of sixteen million dollars in the year of 2008.

As mentioned by police, Davis declined a breath test and did not pass a field sobriety test. Police received a warrant to acquire blood from Davis and are still awaiting the results of the test. The test shows alcohol and narcotics. The consequences of his actions will depend on the results of the toxicology report. Davis stationed $500,000 bond. A car accident happened in January 2009. The accident was located in Nassau County, New York.

At around ten p.m. on the night of the car accident, New York Police Sergeant Greg Piquette, assigned to the one-hundredth precinct on Far Rockaway, Queens, was driving his vehicle on the Southern State Parkway. As he was driving his 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, another vehicle went out of control and hit the Suburban head-on. The car was a 2003 Pontiac Montana SUV that was allegedly being driven by an intoxicated driver. The near fatal car carsh resulted in serious injury. The driver was Luis Toledo-Alvarado. The devastating SUV accident took place on the Southern State just west of Exit 21, Nassau Road in Freeport, New York.

Emergency workers and rescuers responded immediatley to the scene of the crash. They rescued the parties. A car accident occurred on February twenty-third, 2009. The car accident was located in Suffolk County, New York.

At nearly eight p.m. on Monday night, a police officer was hit while directing traffic in Yaphank. The officer, who was not named, was assigned to patrol the traffic after a previous crash occurred involving a school bus. From about two miles south of the school bus accident, the victim was hit by a car. The accident was located near the Yaphank Fire Department at Everett Drive and Main Street.The officer is reported to have suffered a serious injury to his back but further details were not released.

The driver of the vehicle has not yet been named by police. After the incident occurred, the officer was relocated to Stony Brook University Medical Center. There he was treated for serious back damage.

The officer is not the only one to be hit in Suffolk within the last three days. While in his car, officer Glen Ciano was hit as well. On February twenty-second, a drunken driver smashed into his patrol car killing Ciano.

A car accident took place on Wednesday, January twenty-first, 2008. The accident was located in New York City specifically,Chinatown.

Chao Fu, 52, of Brooklyn was driving the China Chalet delivery truck when the van accidentally drove straight onto the sidewalk. Allegedly, Fu double-parked the van while getting out to make a delivery. Then, a surveillance video shows an empty van driving in reverse up the sidewalk. The vehicle was a 2000 Ford van. The vehicle drove past yellow lines and hit three preschoolers and their escorts on the sidewalk.

Two children were pronounce dead at the scene of the accident: Hayley Ng, 4, from Chinatown and Diego Martinez, 3, from Chelsea. When the kids were rushed to New York Downtown Hospital, doctors tried their best to save Diego but he died around twelve-thirty p.m. The third victim of the accident, Emma Oscow, 4, was left in terrible condition at Bellevue Hospital Center suffering from a serious injury. There, doctors also tried to help more children and a few adults suffering from minor injuries from the crash.

Fu has a clean driving record so police suggest that he mistook reverse for park. The accident is referred to as a “wake up call”. It shows how more should be done to help pedestrians walking in the city.

A car crash occurred on Wednesday, January fourteenth, 2009. The accident took place in East Meadow, New York.

On Wednesday night, Michael Sinclair, 20, from Levittown, was driving his vehicle south on Newbridge Road. At around eleven, p.m., he lost control of his black Infiniti and hit the back of another vehicle who was waiting to make a left turn. The vehicle he hit was a black 1998 Toyota Camry. After it was hit, the car was forced back one hundred feet down Newbridge Road where it smashed into a pole on the western side of the street. The driver was thrown out of the vehicle where he sustained serious injury.

Sinclair was allegedly under the influence of illegal drugs at the time of the accident. He has been arrested and charged for driving with the substance. Kyle Whitenack, 22, of Grace Lane, was a passenger in Sinclair’s car. He was also charged with criminal possession of a prohibited matter.

Sinclair and two of his passengers were taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow after each suffered personal injuries from the car crash. They received treatment at the hospital for their injuries.

After the car accident, the area of the accident had been marked off with yellow tape and both cars were in terrible condition. The front of the Toyota was completely smashed with an excessive number of indents. The entire body of the Infiniti vehicle was torn apart and parts of the vehicle flew off from the collision. Both cars were sent in for safety checks and police are still investigating the situation.

A car crash occurred on December twenty-fifth, 2008. The mishap took place in Central Islip, New York.

On the Christmas day night, Hector Rapalo, 39, was traveling northbound on his bicycle along Route 11. As he was moving towards the intersection with Chestnut Street, an automobile hit him from behind. After the car crash, the driver of the vehicle fled from the scene without stopping.

After being hit by the unknown vehicle, the bicyclist was taken to Southside Hospital, located in Bay Shore. There, Rapalo received intensive care for a serious head injury. Sadly, despite the best efforts of the medical staff and around the clock attention at the hospital, 48 hours after the tragic car accident, Rapalo died.

The front of the vehicle may have received damages from the accident. Police believe that the automobile is a little, black car with “low wheels”. The vehicle may have been a Honda.

If anyone has any information about the incident it should be reported.
